Beating the compliance roadblock with Abodo’s Codemark-certified eco timber cladding.
Compliance on a building site can often stifle creativity.
Often new or innovative materials require code compliance - and demonstrating this to your local council can be difficult.
This is because innovative new products are often considered ‘alternative solutions’ under the building code and therefore require a professional appraisal or certification, which can be a lengthy and expensive process.
This was Abodo’s challenge when launching an innovative exterior cladding range.
Exterior cladding is considered a high risk building material application and requires specialist technical knowledge. Abodo’s high performance timber cladding systems have the unique characteristic of being free of chemical preservatives – making compliance an even harder case to argue.
For this reason Abodo took the initiative of seeking CodeMark certification – an unchallengeable assurance of compliance – and an excellent tool for designers and builders to demonstrate code compliance.
Abodo’s Vulcan and Tundra Cladding systems are all CodeMark certified.
